Somewhat dissappointing quality, VERY INACCURATE SIZING

For the most expensive pants I've ever bought, I would expect the quality and attention to detail to be better. I have opened 4 out of 8 of the pants I ordered so far, and 3 out of 4 have some sort of loose thread on them. One also has a slightly looser area for the magnet. I would hope these issues would not occur, given I bought these with a "price is no object" mentality.

When shipping, it took a multiple weeks to get any sort of update at all on where they were. They allegedly hadn't shipped, and I was not able to get any update until I contacted support, which after another week or so was finally able to attach the shipping number which said they had already shipped a while ago and were nearing arrival. Because they were out of stock they had to be shipped from Hong Kong, which took quite a while. This shipping speed was acceptable for me, but I wish the updates would have been better.

The thermal characteristics are… slightly disappointing, with the pants being slightly hotter than the lightweight "DSG" pants I have, at least laying in bed with the heat on higher than I want. The real test of this will come in the Los Angeles summer.

After wearing them for long enough, I have noticed an extremely subtle black grid pattern on the pants (hard to see and even harder to photograph, even in pretty bright light). I believe this is the graphene-infused thread?

I usually carry 3 phones on me at once, and although it's nice that I can finally carry them in my pants instead of fanny pack, the size of the pockets is disappointing in that, they're just small enough that it's hard to fit some phones in some of the pockets. The left-hand hidden zippered one is smallest, and can just barely fit my OnePlus One; the right-hand zippered one is bigger, and I use it for my Librem 5; and the main right pocket goes to my Sony Xperia 1 II, which is a bit too tall to fit in the other pockets well.

The water resistance is a cool party trick when doing dishes; and when doing laundry, these pants dry faster than any of my other clothes, even the other very lightweight ones.

What I'm really, really disappointed in, though, after wearing them for just over the return window, is my recent discovery that they appear to be one size larger than the advertised one!

Before I bought them, I carefully measured my waist at 33 inches, as I wanted to be extra sure they were not too large. The "International Size" of "Medium", which is apparently measured in inches around the waist, was supposedly "32-34", which, if those measurements were accurate, would mean they would fit perfectly. When they arrived, I did not notice them being too *obviously* too big, so decided to cut off the paper tags and wear them, without measuring the pants themselves. This was a huge mistake.

Upon wearing them every day (I bought so many pants so I could always wear the same ones), I notice that I keep having to pull the pants up. I have ended up using my fanny pack as a make-shift belt to need to do this less often, and upon tightening it more today, noticed a lot of slack in the waist-band of the pants. This prompted me to re-measure my waist (still 33 inches) and measure the pants. The pants (while not wearing them, so no stretching) seem to measure at 35 inches, significantly above the 32-34 inches advertised. If you buy these, MAKE SURE TO MEASURE WHILE YOU CAN STILL RETURN THEM!!!!! Listed measurements are VERY OFF!

Vertically, they fit acceptably, maybe even a bit long while standing up while being a tiny bit short if bending my legs.

I am happy that I finally have many identical pants, but this recent discovery of the huge size discrepancy of the waist has made me quite upset. This is the most expensive clothing order I have ever made by far, so quite an expensive mistake.

Although it's possible washing could have affected the measurement, I only wash them on gentle and delicates and line dry them rather than using a washing machine, as per the instructions; and would expect that this would not lead to them growing. I have not tried measuring one of my new in-box pants yet.

The return policy is rather dubious and does not inspire confidence. The "Lifetime" warranty is apparently defined as the "lifetime" of the product, which is not defined anywhere. According to some other reviews they do not let you return if you washed them once or more (which I have for half the pants so far). I have not attempted to file a return myself in anticipation that I would not be able to do so, due to having taken off the tag already without having realised the major sizing mistake.

I hope I will never need to use the warranty. I have not worn the pants long enough to really test it yet.

All-rounder for three seasons

I usually wear 30-30 pants and the XS all-rounder fit perfectly. Tried it from May to September of Italy and South Korea mostly in dry weather but sometimes in the light shower too. Worked great - dried quickly out of sweat or rain so that I can wear it the next day. Packs in my bag or carry-on easily and lightly. The only small hassle was the magnetic button since it alarmed the security gate in the airport :-(

What is Graphene?

Graphene is a one-atom thick layer of carbon. It’s the building block of Graphite (the same stuff you have in your pencils). This wonder material is stronger than steel (tensile strength), harder than diamond, more conductive than copper and has better electron mobility than silicon. The scientists that discovered Graphene won the Nobel prize in Physics in 2010. We integrate graphene on high performance fabrics to develop cutting-edge clothing.
